In fact, there is a great deal to do without actually going anywhere at all. This peaceful cove offers some of the best snorkeling on Maui, with an abundance of coral formations, tropical fish, and sea turtles.
And, when it's time for more activity, or time to explore elsewhere, there's lots nearby. Here are some examples:
- the white-sand beach of Napili Bay is a five-minute walk away;
- snorkeling at the aquatic marine sanctuary Honolua Bay, seven-minutes by car;
- surfing, right off the Cove if you're an expert, or at gentler beaches;
- tennis, at Kapalua, a ten-minute walk from the Cove;
- golf, at word-famous golf courses, such as Kapalua, just north of the Cove;
- horseback riding, out of Napili or Lahaina;
- fishing, out of Lahaina or Ma'alaea;
- attractions such at the Aquarium, in Ma'alaea;
- shopping and strolling in the historic whaling town of Lahaina;
- shopping at the local Hawaiian farmers' market, and charming shops and art fairs;
- fine restaurants ranging from casual to elegant;
- native Hawaiian entertainment hosted by one of the fine nearby hotels;
